yesterday I ran once again into the problem of searching one of my books. I thought I had it brought with me to the new flat already but couldn't find it anywhere. So I'll have to assume it's still back in Saarland. Grumbling over that I decided I need a way to inventorize my stuff more neatly.
I spend the evening googling for software to manage books, movies, music and games over several location and couldn't really find anything that really filled my requirements :( Back to square one it's either giving up or to roll up my sleeves and get coding...

I'll first concentrate on the support for books and later add movies, music and whatnot to it. The API keys for 2 providers of book data arrived today so i can start hacking tonight and hope to have a showable prototype by end of the weekend.
